GIVING SANCTUARY TO THOSE IN NEED

in the dog house...

Our facility is also home to a small sanctuary for rescued dogs. Most of them are available for adoption, but for those who never find their forever home, our sanctuary will always be their safe haven.

We care for a wonderful assortment of dogs — mostly Bali heritage dogs — who come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Bali dogs are known as pariah dogs, meaning they have the remarkable ability to survive independently, without human help. In fact, they are believed to be one of the oldest dog breeds in the world, with a history going back over 12,000 years.

Bali dogs are incredibly intelligent and resourceful. When they’re in a pack, they work together cleverly (and sometimes mischievously!) to outsmart us. They’re confident, alert, and full of energy — excellent guard dogs who are perfectly adapted to the island’s hot, dry climate.

Despite their independence, Bali dogs are deeply loyal, protective, and affectionate. Once they trust you, they’ll shower you with love for life.

We also have a small, beloved collection of Bali cats, all of whom were brought to us after being found abandoned as kittens.

Bali cats are generally smaller than Western breeds, and many have short, twisted, or stumpy tails — a unique trait resulting from a genetic mutation caused by a limited gene pool.

Our cats enjoy their own cozy house within the sanctuary, where they live together peacefully and contentedly. Their favorite times of day are morning and afternoon, when they’re treated to freshly cooked fish — their absolute favorite meal!

We’re delighted to provide these beautiful cats with lifelong sanctuary, ensuring they live out their days in comfort, safety, and love.
