GIVING SANCTUARY TO THOSE IN NEED

in the dog house...

Our facility is also home to a small sanctuary for rescued dogs. Most of the dogs are up for adoption, if they never find their forever home they will continue to live with us.

We have an assortment of dogs, they are mostly Bali heritage dogs. They come in different sizes and colours. Bali dogs are known as pariah dogs meaning that they can survive left to their own devises and without human intervention. They are in fact thought to be the oldest breed of dog, going back 12,000 years.

They are very intelligent, very resourceful and when you have a pack of them they work together to try to outsmart you. They are confident, very suspicious, energetic, vocal, make great guard dogs and are well suited to the harsh dry climate of the island. They are also extremely loyal, very protective and absolutely love affection!

the cat pad...

We have a small collection of Bali cats as well. They were all handed in to us by people who found them dumped as kittens.

Bali cats are generally smaller than western breeds and many of them have short twisted stumpy tails. This is a result of a genetic mutation caused by a limited gene pool.

Our cats have their own house and co-exist happily. Their favourite time of the day is morning and afternoon when they get a freshly cooked fish which is their favourite food.

We are happy to provide them sanctuary for the rest of their lives.
